Insurance Mavericks is operated by Spartan Business Warriors LLC, doing business as Spartan AI ("we", "us", "our").
What we collect
When you create a member profile, we collect: your first and last name, agency/company name, home state, licensed states, lines of business, specializations, a short bio, an optional Facebook profile URL, and an optional profile photo. Your email address and password (or Google account, if you sign in that way) are collected at signup and managed by our authentication provider, Supabase.
How we use it
Your profile information is shown to other signed-in members in the directory so they can find licensed referral partners, and every member's contact link is shown on their card. Specializations are shown on Basic and Pro cards. Basic and Pro members can message Pro members; Pro members can receive new conversations through the site's built-in messaging feature. We do not sell your information to third parties.
Payment information
If you subscribe to a paid membership tier, your payment is processed directly by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles that. We do store your subscription tier and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers so we can keep your account status in sync with your billing status.
We use Resend to send account-related email: welcome messages, new message notifications (which you can turn off from your profile), and billing status confirmations (activation, plan changes, cancellation — these never include a dollar amount and cannot be turned off, since they're tied to your account, not marketing). You can also manage Supabase's built-in account emails (confirmation, password reset) through the same provider.
Marketing and commercial email (US CAN-SPAM Act)
Every email we currently send is transactional or relationship-based — tied to an action you took (signup, a message you received, a billing event) — not an advertisement. We do not currently send promotional or marketing email. If that changes, any commercial email we send will: identify Insurance Mavericks as the sender, use a subject line that accurately reflects the message content, include a working opt-out mechanism, honor opt-out requests within the legally required window, and include our valid postal mailing address, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember a pending checkout selection if you start upgrading before finishing your profile, so you don't have to re-select it after completing signup. This is cleared automatically after use or after 2 hours, and also on logout. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your own profile at any time from your profile settings. This removes your profile from the directory immediately.

Your US privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state privacy law (for example California's CCPA/CPRA, or similar laws in other states) may give you additional rights over your personal information, which generally include the right to know what we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

Insurance Mavericks is a members-only directory and referral network for independent insurance professionals. By creating an account, you represent that you are an insurance professional using this site for that purpose.

Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information in your profile. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission, or impersonate another person or business.
Membership tiers and billing
Free membership lists your profile in the directory. Paid tiers (Basic, Pro) unlock additional visibility and messaging features as described on the Pricing page at the time of your purchase. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your profile's billing management link; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Messaging and conduct
The messaging feature is for professional referral and networking purposes. You agree not to use it to send unsolicited advertising, spam, harassment, or unlawful content. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.
Directory content
You're responsible for the accuracy of your own profile content (licensing claims, states, lines of business, bio, and any linked Facebook profile). We do not independently verify member licensing status.

Electronic communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from us related to your account, billing, and messages you receive through the site, as described in our Privacy Policy. These are transactional communications, not marketing — we do not currently send promotional email. You can turn off message-notification emails at any time from your profile. Billing confirmation emails are tied to an active paid subscription; to stop them, cancel your subscription from your profile's billing management link before removing your profile.
